The Kobe Steel Group (KOBELCO) established operations as Kobe Aluminum Automotive Products (KAAP) in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 2005. Since then, KAAP has undergone six facility expansions, adding equipment and expertise necessary to become a world leader in forged aluminum suspension products. Over time, KAAP established itself as a global leader in forged aluminum technology for the automotive industry.
KAAP’s mission is to safely manufacture and deliver high quality forged aluminum products to our customers. Our forged products are lighter and stronger allowing for a reduction in the overall weight of automobiles, which improves the fuel economy of vehicles by creating a smaller carbon footprint.
